Most of our work here is for families living in the stucco-fronted houses around Eaton Square and Belgrave Square, in the mansion flats along Grosvenor Place, and on the streets off Elizabeth Street. We have been planning parties in SW1 for long enough to know the residents’ committees, the concierge teams, the delivery access routes, the parking rules and the handful of back entrances that make a Saturday-morning setup possible instead of chaotic. We’ve worked with families using the private dining rooms at some of Belgravia’s best-known restaurants, at private members’ clubs on the south side of the neighbourhood, and at hotel ballrooms on the edges toward Knightsbridge and Victoria. For children’s parties, the trick is almost always to work with the space the family already has rather than trying to move them into a venue; we’ve themed Belgravia townhouses from the entrance hall to the top-floor nursery and back down again.
